Information
Feature brick is not a special type of lintel, but rather an option available on most of the standard types of lintel.
A feature brick lintel supports the soffit course of masonry from above or behind rather than underneath. This means you don't see the lintel at the soffit - it is completely hidden!
Apart from the aesthetic advantages, maintainance on the lintel soffit is also eliminated.
To specify a feature brick option for your lintel, specify the lintel as normal and then suffix 'FB' on the end. Two examples are given below.
EXAMPLE FEATURE BRICK CC24 WITH STEP

EXAMPLE ARCH LINTELS - ALSO POSSIBLE IN FEATURE BRICK
These traditional designs typically look far better in feature brick, particularly in areas where the soffit is in prominent view.
Note that Curved-on-Plan and Corner lintels can also be accomodated in feature brick if required.
